The Sahli's method is a traditional and widely used technique for hemoglobin measurement. It involves the use of a specialized tube, known as a Sahli's hemoglobinometer tube or pipette, and a series of reagents to determine the hemoglobin concentration.

To measure hemoglobin using Sahli's method, a small blood sample is collected from the patient and mixed with a diluting solution in the Sahli's tube. The tube is then filled to a specific mark and mixed thoroughly. Following this, a specially calibrated reagent is added drop by drop until the color of the diluted blood matches a standard color scale provided with the instrument.
